The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 33 vessels carrying petroleum products, food supplies, and various other cargoes are expected to arrive at major seaports in Lagos between Saturday, February 22, and Thursday, February 27, 2026.

In its Daily Shipping Position released on Monday, February 23, 2026, the NPA stated that 17 of the incoming ships are laden with containerised cargo, while the remaining 16 vessels are transporting bulk gas, diplomatic cargo, bulk urea, empty containers, crude oil, bulk clinker, and blended stock.

The expected arrivals are scheduled for Apapa Port, Tin Can Island Port, and Lekki Deep Sea Port.

Additionally, seven ships and tanker vessels have already arrived at the three ports and are currently awaiting berthing approval. These vessels are carrying aviation fuel, petrol, containers, and general cargo.

The NPA confirmed that port operations remain active, with 17 vessels presently discharging various consignments—including bulk wheat, soya bean oil, bulk sugar, bulk urea, trucks, fresh fish, and containerised goods—at Tin Can Island, Apapa, and Lekki ports.
The authority assured stakeholders that all necessary measures are in place to ensure smooth berthing, discharge, and turnaround of vessels during this period.
