*Ramadhan 1446AH Nuggets* ‏‏‏

*Allah saves people from Hell during Ramadhan …. this happens every night. It’s not late …*

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Messenger of Allah, (ﷺ) said, “ *On the first night of the month of Ramadhan, the devils are chained, the jinn are restrained, and the gates of Hellfire are closed and none of its gates are opened. The gates of Paradise are opened and none of its gates are closed. A heavenly caller announces: O seeker of good, come near! O seeker of evil, stop short! Allah will save them from the Hellfire and that is during every night of Ramadhan*.”

Sunan al-Tirmidhī 682, Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

*NOTES 📝*

1. It is Allah’s Mercy to His servants that He frees His servants from Hell on every night of Ramadhan, and this is to encourage diligence in this blessed month so that the servant is one of those saved. Also, so that he is provided with salvation from the fires, and attaining al-Jannah. In this hadith, we see the greatness of Allah’s kindness, abundance of generosity, and benevolence to His servants.

2. “If your sins are harming you, then cure them by raising your hands during the dark night. Do not despair from the mercy of Allah, for verily your despairing from His mercy is a greater fault than the sin you committed.” – Al-Hafidh Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali, Lataif al Maa’rif

3. According to scholars, being released from hell entails three key aspects: firstly, Allah Almighty forgives their sins; secondly, He accepts their repentance; and thirdly, He safeguards them from committing major sins and errors, preventing them from straying back onto the wrong path until their death. While these souls may still err, they promptly repent and strive to rectify their mistakes until the end of their lives.

*O Allah, aid us in becoming righteous, grant us Taqwa so that we may do abundant good deeds during the month of Ramadhan and beyond … Ãmeen*

Qur’an Verse for the 16th Day of Ramadan:

“And whoever fears Allah – He will make a way out for him, and He will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] measure.”

— Surah At-Talaq (65:2-3)

May Allah grant us steadfastness, provision, and ease in all our affairs. Ameen.

Here is a special prayer (dua) for the 16th day of Ramadan:

Translation:

“O Allah, grant me the success to be in harmony with the righteous, and keep me away from the company of the wicked. Through Your mercy, take me to the eternal abode. O Lord of the worlds!”

May Allah accept your prayers and grant you blessings in this holy month. Ameen.

Here are some hadiths that are relevant for the 16th day of Ramadan, focusing on fasting, prayer, and seeking Allah’s mercy:

1. On the Reward of Fasting

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his past sins will be forgiven.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari 38, Sahih Muslim 760)

2. On the Gates of Paradise

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“In Paradise, there is a gate called Ar-Rayyan, through which those who fast will enter on the Day of Resurrection, and none but them will enter through it.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari 1896, Sahih Muslim 1152)

3. On Seeking Forgiveness in Ramadan

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Three persons’ supplications are never rejected: the fasting person until he breaks his fast, the just ruler, and the oppressed person.”

(Sunan at-Tirmidhi 2526, Ibn Majah 1752)

4. On the Last Ten Nights Approaching

Since the 16th of Ramadan brings us closer to the last ten nights, it’s a reminder of this hadith:

“Seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari 2017, Sahih Muslim 1169)

May these hadiths inspire and strengthen your faith in this blessed month.
