CBN Begins Mystery Shopping to Enforce BDC Compliance
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced it will begin conducting mystery shopping visits to Bureau De Change (BDC) outlets as part of efforts to boost compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations.
In a circular signed by Amonia Opusunju, Director of Compliance, the apex bank said the initiative, effective from April 17, is aimed at tightening oversight on illicit financial flows and ensuring BDCs align with global financial standards.
Tinubu International Airport Set to Resume Operations April 23
Flight operations are scheduled to resume at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna, Niger State, on April 23.
Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, disclosed the update via a post on X. He said the Niger State Government has partnered with Overland Airways to kickstart commercial flights from the airport.

NNPC Aims to Attract $60 Billion in Oil & Gas Investments by 2030
NNPC Ltd’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Bayo Ojulari, has announced a bold plan to attract $60 billion in investments to the oil and gas sector by 2030.
Speaking during a town hall meeting on April 17, Ojulari also shared goals to increase crude oil production to 2 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2027 and 3 million bpd by 2030. He also aims to scale up local refining capacity to 500,000 bpd by 2030.
