President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, arrived in Kaduna State this afternoon to commission an array of strategic development projects executed under the administration of Governor Uba Sani, CON, describing them as “clear evidence of governance that prioritizes people over politics.”
Touching down at Mando Military Airport at 1:27 PM local time, President Tinubu was welcomed with full military honours by the Nigerian Air Force ceremonial band and received by top-ranking national and state officials.
Among the dignitaries present were Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; Governor Uba Sani; Emir of Zazzau, HRH Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, and a high-powered delegation of 11 state governors from across Nigeria, showcasing national solidarity for Kaduna’s transformation agenda.

The Institute of Skill Acquisition and Development at Riga Chukun, a cornerstone in Kaduna’s strategy to equip youths with practical skills in ICT, welding, tailoring, renewable energy, and more. The centre is expected to train 10,000 youths annually across vocational fields.
A 300-bed specialist hospital located at Millennium Square, designed to reduce medical tourism and improve access to quality tertiary healthcare within Kaduna and surrounding North-Central states.
A fleet of 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) intra-city buses, advancing green transportation, reducing urban congestion, and promoting sustainable energy use in public mobility.
President Tinubu is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address as the special guest of honour at a grand civic reception at Murtala Square, Kaduna’s historic public grounds.

Since assuming office in May 2023, Governor Uba Sani has repositioned Kaduna State’s development approach with an emphasis on youth empowerment, rural infrastructure, healthcare reform, and energy innovation. His administration has drawn national attention for redirecting the state’s resources from capital-intensive mega-structures toward human development, education, and rural inclusion.
According to Kaduna’s 2024 budget implementation report, over ₦320 billion has been deployed across critical sectors, with healthcare, education, and public transportation comprising nearly 65% of all capital investments—a significant shift from previous focus on urban real estate and luxury infrastructure.
“Kaduna is demonstrating how to link infrastructure with impact. These are not white-elephant projects—they are people-centred investments with long-term dividends,” said Dr. Aminu Waziri, a policy fellow at the Centre for Subnational Governance.

President Tinubu’s visit signals a federal endorsement of Kaduna’s development direction. The introduction of CNG buses aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s green economy targets, while the vocational institute complements federal goals to curb youth unemployment—currently at 33.3% nationally—through localized skill hubs.
“Governor Uba Sani is leading by example. What we see in Kaduna is a bold, reform-minded model of governance that responds to the needs of its people and prepares them for the future,” President Tinubu stated during a briefing.

Notably, the roads connecting Kauru, Soba, and Pambegua—recently rehabilitated under Uba Sani’s government—have improved agricultural distribution, inter-LGA mobility, and market access for over 1.5 million residents in rural communities.
