The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has released a list of businesses and companies accused of falsely claiming to be registered with the commission.
The list, which covers alleged registration dates from 1973 to 2010, spans multiple sectors, including real estate, oil and gas, construction, and investment services.
In a statement issued Friday, CAC Registrar-General Hussaini Ishaq Magaji warned the public against falling victim to such misleading claims, stressing that engaging with unregistered entities could expose individuals and organisations to fraud, legal disputes, and other serious risks.
“The public is hereby advised to beware of such misleading information and always verify company registration status only through the official CAC portal: www.cac.gov.ng,” the statement read.
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s business environment, adding that only duly registered companies are permitted to operate within the legal framework.
The affected companies and businesses are listed in the images attached.
