18-Year-Old Abiola Abidoye Sets UK Record With Highest-Ever A-Level Law Grade

At just 18 years old, Abiola Abidoye, a Nigerian-born and UK-raised scholar, has made history by achieving the highest A-Level Law grade ever recorded in the United Kingdom.

Abidoye, who grew up in Ipswich, excelled far beyond expectations, securing straight A’s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Law, and Physics. What makes his achievement even more remarkable is that law was not the subject he originally considered his strongest field. Yet, he went on to earn a groundbreaking 224 out of 240 in A-Level Law, placing him at the very top nationwide.

This extraordinary performance has not only positioned him as the best A-Level law student in the country but has also underscored his discipline, intellectual versatility, and determination to excel across diverse fields of study.

Celebrated as a proud son of Yoruba heritage, Abidoye’s success is being hailed as another powerful testament to Black brilliance and academic excellence. Beyond merely passing his exams, he has set a new benchmark, broken barriers, and provided inspiration for young people across the UK, Nigeria, and the wider African diaspora.

His accomplishment adds a new chapter to the growing narrative of African students excelling globally, reaffirming the value of resilience, hard work, and commitment to academic distinction.
