NABTEB Releases 2025 NBC/NTC Results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2025 in-school National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, with 61,104 candidates obtaining five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Mohammed, made the announcement in Abuja on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

According to him, a total of 92,875 candidates registered for the exams across 1,892 centres nationwide, representing a 37% increase in enrollment compared to 2024. Out of 89,621 candidates graded, 62.07% were males while 37.93% were females.

Dr. Mohammed disclosed that 68.18% of candidates who sat for the exams scored five credits and above, including English and Mathematics — an improvement on the June/July 2024 performance, where 65.34% achieved the same benchmark.

In subject-specific results, 93.10% of candidates passed English Language while 94.60% passed Mathematics, reflecting stronger performance in Maths compared to 2024.

On examination malpractice, he revealed that 435 candidates (0.47%) were involved in 516 cases, a slight reduction from 524 recorded in 2024.

Commending the Federal Ministry of Education for supporting the government’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) drive, Mohammed said the outcome aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda of equipping Nigerian youths with 21st-century skills.

He urged Nigerians to prioritize skills acquisition over mere paper qualifications, stressing that technical skills are vital for national development.

Meanwhile, registration has commenced for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and Advanced NBC/NTC examinations. Prospective candidates are advised to visit novdec.nabteb.gov.ng or NABTEB offices nationwide for registration details.
