Funeral prayers for Sheikh Abdulaziz will be held at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in the city of Riyadh after Asr prayers on Tuesday, the court said.
“The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – has directed that funeral prayers in absentia be performed for him at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, and all mosques across the Kingdom after the Asr prayer today,” it said.
He served as head of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, and of the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.
