The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched ‘Operation Go Cashless,’ a contactless and cashless payment system, in partnership with Paystack. Starting September 29, 2025, all payments at FAAN’s revenue points, including airport access gates, car parks, VIP, and protocol lounges at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, will be cash-free.
The initiative aims to meet growing demand for secure, modern, and transparent payment systems, aligning Nigeria’s airports with global digital standards.
By phasing out cash, FAAN seeks to boost efficiency, ensure better revenue collection, and improve the customer experience with faster, seamless services. The agency plans to roll out the cashless policy in phases across other airports nationwide, as part of its commitment to ongoing improvements.
