Tinubu Committed to Stable Governance, Akume Reassures

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to ensuring policy continuity and governance stability. Speaking at the inauguration and maiden lecture of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement in Abuja, Akume emphasized that continuity is essential for sustainable development and prosperity.

Represented by Nadunga Gagare, Permanent Secretary of Political and Economic Affairs, Akume noted that Nigeria’s history of abandoning policies with leadership changes has hindered progress and wasted resources. He stressed that the Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes stable governance, institutional strength, and reforms that endure beyond individual leaders, ensuring a system that delivers for citizens.

Akume described the grassroots movement as a vital initiative to foster inclusive and accountable development. He urged the group to mobilize citizens to understand and take ownership of government policies, emphasizing that grassroots participation is the cornerstone of successful democracy.

In his address, Isaac Udeh, National Leader of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, asserting his strong position for the 2027 elections. Udeh called for patience from Nigerians, likening the nation’s economic challenges to a pregnancy that will soon yield joy, and urged citizens to support Tinubu’s policies for national recovery.
