There was drama at a hotel in Abuja on Tuesday morning as Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, reportedly engaged in a heated altercation over an alleged ₦200,000 dispute.
Eyewitnesses said the confrontation began in Phyna’s hotel room before escalating into the hotel lobby, drawing the attention of guests and staff.
According to multiple sources, the disagreement was linked to an unsettled financial issue involving ₦200,000, which quickly spiraled into a shouting match between the reality TV star and another individual.
The situation reportedly worsened when neither party agreed to back down, leading to pushing and verbal exchanges that soon turned chaotic. Witnesses claimed that others associated with both sides later joined the fray, intensifying the scene.
Security personnel and police officers were eventually called in to de-escalate the situation, with reports suggesting that teargas was used to disperse the growing crowd and restore calm within the hotel premises.
The incident comes just weeks after Phyna made a public return following a brief hiatus to mourn the tragic death of her sister, who was killed in a road accident involving a Dangote truck.
As of press time, Phyna had not issued any public statement regarding the altercation, and efforts to reach her representatives for comments were unsuccessful.
