FAAN Introduces Integrated ISO Policy for Quality, Safety, and Sustainability

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), led by Managing Director Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku and represented by Dr. Luqman Emiola, Director of Human Resources and Administration, unveiled its Integrated ISO Policy on October 21, 2025. The policy combines ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System into a unified framework to promote service quality, operational safety, and sustainable practices across all FAAN-managed airports.

Mrs. Obiageli Orah, Director of Special Duties, emphasized that the policy underscores FAAN’s commitment to customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility, with the audit process evaluating the agency’s business conduct. FAAN has completed 70% of the certification process, with external auditors scheduled for November 2025 to assess compliance and address gaps, aiming for full certification by December 2025.

FAAN emphasized its dedication to managing Nigeria’s airports according to international best practices, ensuring safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations while supporting host communities and providing a conducive workplace for staff.
