Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested over 100 suspects, including Lagos socialite and club owner Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, during a midnight raid on a drug-themed party at Proxy Night Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The operation, based on intelligence, was conducted around 3 a.m. on Sunday after NDLEA officers infiltrated the event hours earlier. Cartons of illicit substances, including “loud” and laughing gas, were seized from the club and its storage areas.
In a separate operation, NDLEA agents at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, uncovered 70 parcels of cocaine weighing 3.6 kilograms concealed in cocoa butter body cream containers bound for London. The cargo agent, Lawal Olakunle, and two other suspects, including a health worker and a travel agency CEO, were later arrested following investigations.
Another suspect, a Lesotho national, Lemena Mark, was intercepted at Enugu Airport attempting to export 103.59 grams of methamphetamine hidden in herbal tea to the Philippines.

Across other states, NDLEA operatives made multiple seizures:
Kwara: 21,950 tramadol capsules found in a water heater.
Taraba: Two men arrested with 450,000 tramadol and exol-5 pills.
Kogi & Nasarawa: Over 290kg of cannabis seized in separate highway operations.

Lagos: A Lekki-based dealer, Oyonumoh Glory Effiong, was caught with 500g of “Canadian Loud.”
Zamfara: A suspect was arrested with an AK-47 rifle and 1,746 rounds of ammunition.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd), commended the coordinated operations across multiple commands and urged officers to sustain their efforts in the ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA).
