Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, says politicians have brought Fulani militants into Plateau State after the United States labelled Nigeria a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC). The CPC tag followed President Donald Trump’s claim of an ongoing Christian genocide in Nigeria — a claim the federal government denies.

In a video posted on social media, Rev. Dachomo alleged that armed groups, mainly Fulani militias from Bauchi and elsewhere, have set up camps near the state border and are moving into communities. He said fighters were massing around Dorowa and Nyarwei in Faan district and accused their backers of rushing to cause maximum deaths before any possible foreign intervention.
“We are going to defend ourselves to the death,” he said, asking for prayers and warning that attacks were continuing. He also reported recent killings and night burials.

Violence in Plateau has persisted for decades with thousands killed. While many reports blame Fulani herders, authorities often describe the incidents as clashes between farmers and herders.
