Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has dismissed viral reports claiming former Governor Willie Obiano died in a London hospital. In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Soludo said he personally spoke with Obiano and confirmed he is “alive, hale and hearty.”
Soludo described the rumour as malicious and irresponsible, warning that spreading unverified information erodes public trust. He urged journalists and online publishers to verify facts through official channels before circulating sensitive news.
The governor asked the public to disregard the false reports and wished Obiano continued good health and peace.
