Suspected bandits have abducted at least seven individuals, including two government officials, following a fresh assault on the Oba community in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.
According to sources who spoke with Sahara Reporters, the incident took place when gunmen raided a construction site within the community and forcefully abducted the workers. The victims were reportedly on duty at an ongoing project site at the time of the invasion. Among those taken into captivity are two staff members of the Kwara State Ministry of Works.

“The attackers struck suddenly, overpowering the workers before marching them into the bush,” a source disclosed, noting that the operation was carried out without any immediate resistance. As of the time of this report, security agencies have yet to issue an official confirmation of the abduction.

In a separate but related tragedy, suspected bandits have killed two persons in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. This attack reportedly occurred on Monday, December 15, 2025, along the road connecting the Babanla and Oreke communities.

Local sources revealed that the victims were ambushed and killed by the assailants while they were on an errand to purchase food for residents of their community.
