FIRST LADY DONATES N100M, FLAGS OFF CHRISTMAS FOOD DISTRIBUTION IN KADUNA.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of Nigeria, has contributed N100 million to the Christians Northern Nigeria Political Forum (CNNPF) while launching the distribution of food packages to Christian families in Kaduna ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations.

At the event, the First Lady praised the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters for organising the initiative, describing it as both timely and impactful. She revealed that 48,000 bags of 25kg rice were provided to families across Northern Nigeria, with additional support for transportation to ensure smooth delivery.

Senator Tinubu encouraged individuals and organisations to follow suit, highlighting that such interventions show a strong understanding of people’s needs, especially during a season meant for love, joy, and hope. She added that the gesture also serves as a token of appreciation to members of the CNNPF for their continued support of the current administration.

Emphasising the principles of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the First Lady said it is rooted in inclusion, compassion, and opportunity, ensuring every Nigerian can thrive regardless of their background. She also called on citizens to foster peace and unity, noting that nation-building is only possible in a climate of harmony and mutual respect.

Senator Tinubu further commended Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for demonstrating that people from different religious and ethnic communities can live together peacefully.

Governor Sani, in his remarks, described the initiative as more than charity, stating it represents care, hope, and empathy for vulnerable communities. He noted that Senator Tinubu’s consistent philanthropic work exemplifies moral leadership and dedication to national service, particularly in supporting underserved populations during challenging times. He added that the First Lady’s interventions are notable for their inclusivity, cutting across religious, ethnic, and regional lines, and reinforcing unity and shared responsibility among Nigerians.

Hon Ibrahim Idoko, Chairman of the Christians Northern Nigeria Political Forum, also praised President Tinubu for promoting balance and inclusivity in leadership. He highlighted the appointments of Prof Nentawe Yilwada as APC National Chairman and General Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence as examples of recognizing competence and the contributions of Northern Christians.

Idoko announced plans for the forum to host political summits across Northern states in the first half of 2026 to encourage greater Christian participation in politics and governance. He called on Northern governors, through the Progressive Governors’ Forum, to support these efforts. By the third quarter of 2026, the forum intends to carry out zonal campaigns and media outreach in Hausa and other local languages to showcase President Tinubu’s achievements, ultimately leading to a formal endorsement for the 2027 general election.
