Two-time heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has made his first social media post ahead of the funeral of his two close friends, who tragically died in a car accident in Nigeria.
Joshua was reportedly a passenger in a black Lexus that collided with a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Makun, resulting in the deaths of his associates Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif “Latz” Ayodele.

In his latest post, Joshua shared a photo of himself with his mother and family, holding a framed picture of Ghami in tribute. He captioned the post: “My Brothers Keeper.” The phrase signifies a promise to support and care for those for whom one accepts responsibility.
The funerals for Joshua’s strength coach Ghami, and his personal trainer and childhood friend Latz, are scheduled to take place today at a mosque in London.

Joshua arrived at London Stansted Airport on Friday night and is currently recuperating at his home.
The crash sparked varied reactions across Nigeria, with some, including opposition figure Peter Obi, criticizing the lack of emergency services. Authorities, however, stated that officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived at the scene within minutes.

The incident has reignited debate on whether it was too soon for Joshua to return to social media. Readers are invited to share their thoughts in the comments.
