Gunmen believed to be bandits have reportedly kidnapped Bashir Isa Gusau, the Zamfara State youth leader of the Tinubu–Shettima campaign organisation.
The abduction was made public on Thursday through a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine, who said the incident happened in the presence of the victim’s wife, leaving the household shaken.

According to the report, more than 30 armed attackers allegedly stormed Gusau’s residence in Gusau town and took him away during the raid. Security authorities were said to have been notified shortly after the attack, but as of the latest update, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Bakatsine expressed concern over the continued wave of violent incidents in the state, questioning how long communities in Zamfara would continue to face threats from armed groups. He also stated that although security agencies were alerted promptly, there had been no confirmed breakthrough in the search at the time of his post.

In a related development, a separate earlier case involved Emorioloye Owoloemi, a member of the Asiwaju Media Team — an APC support group — who was reportedly abducted in Ondo State on January 18
