INEC RELEASES MOST FCT CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION RESULTS, BUT KUJE LAGS BEHIND
As of 5:55 a.m. on Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had uploaded 2,602 of the 2,822 expected polling unit results from Saturday’s chairmanship elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), according to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

This means 92.2 per cent of all polling unit outcomes across the six area councils in the territory were available at the time.
Municipal Area Council
Municipal Area Council led in submissions, with 1,309 of 1,401 results uploaded, representing 93.43 per cent. Ward-level uploads included Wuse (Ward 04) with 170 of 175, Gwarinpa (Ward 05) with 185 of 199, Garki (Ward 02) with 155 of 171, and City Centre (Ward 01) with 135 of 151, among others.

Gwagwalada Area Council
Gwagwalada posted the highest upload rate, completing 330 of 338 results — 97.63 per cent. Several wards recorded full uploads, including Gwagwalada Centre, Kutunku, Dobi, and Zuba.
Bwari Area Council
Bwari had 463 of 485 polling unit results uploaded, equating to 95.46 per cent. Full uploads were noted in Bwari Central, Shere, and Igu wards.
Abaji Area Council
Abaji uploaded 129 of 135 results, giving a 95.56 per cent completion rate. Wards such as Abaji Central, Gawu, Abaji South East, and Yaba recorded full results.

Kwali Area Council
Kwali’s upload rate stood at 81.59 per cent, with full uploads in Gumbo, Yangoji, and Kwali wards, while other wards lagged slightly behind.
Kuje Area Council
Kuje recorded the slowest rate, with 207 of 262 results uploaded (79.01 per cent). Full uploads were only seen in wards such as Gwargwada, Yenche, and Rubochi, while Kabi had no results uploaded at the review time.

Overall, while most councils surpassed 90 per cent in result uploads by early Sunday, Kwali and Kuje fell behind, with Kuje trailing the most.
