ISWAP KILL TWO NIGERIAN SOLDIERS IN DEADLY ATTACK ON ADAMAWA MILITARY CAMP, SEIZE WEAPONS

Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists reportedly attacked the ‘Garahamojili’ camp of the Nigerian Army in Adamawa State on Tuesday, February 20, 2026, killing two soldiers during a 20-minute gun battle.

Sahel security expert Brant Philip disclosed the incident via his X handle on Wednesday, February 21, 2026.

According to the report, the insurgents overran the camp, set it ablaze, and destroyed three military vehicles.

They allegedly carted away weapons and ammunition before fleeing.

ISWAP claimed responsibility for the assault, describing it as part of their recently launched “Burn the Camps” offensive.

Philip noted that this marks the first time the group has targeted a Nigerian Army camp in Adamawa State.

Photos circulating on social media show the destroyed vehicles and camp structures, though their authenticity has not been independently verified.

The attack underscores the escalating violence by terrorist groups in northern Nigeria, where security formations have increasingly come under siege, resulting in significant losses of personnel and equipment for the military.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but investigations are expected to follow.
