RAMADAN KAREEM! MAY THIS BLESSED MONTH BRING YOU PEACE, JOY, AND CLOSENESS TO ALLAH.

Qur’an Verse for the 9th Day of Ramadan:

“And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble.”

— Surah Al-Baqarah (2:45)

May Allah grant us patience and humility as we continue our fast and devotion this Ramadan. Ameen.

On this 9th day of Ramadan, remind yourself: you are not just fasting from food — you are fasting from weakness, distraction, and despair.

Every day you complete is proof that Allah is strengthening you.

Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm.

Ya Allah, as we enter the 9th day of this blessed month, refine our character. Let this Ramadan change us permanently — not temporarily.

“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain taqwa.” (Qur’an 2:183)

Ya Rabb, increase our taqwa.

Make us conscious of You in private and in public.

Guard our tongues from harm, our hearts from arrogance, and our actions from hypocrisy.

“Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself.” (Qur’an 3:8)

Ya Allah, forgive our sins — the hidden and the open.

Heal the sick among us. Provide for those struggling.

Ease the burdens of families carrying silent pain.

“And whoever fears Allah — He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.” (Qur’an 65:2–3)

Grant our leaders wisdom, our communities peace, and our homes tranquility. Protect our nation from division and injustice.

O Allah, make us among those who seek forgiveness abundantly, and among Your righteous servants.

As we approach the first third of Ramadan’s completion, anchor our hearts in sincerity. Let us finish stronger than we started.

As we advance deeper into Ramadan, it is important not only to fast — but to fast correctly, and to break our fast in the manner taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

Ramadan is discipline.

It is worship. It is refinement of character — even in how we eat.

The Prophet ﷺ encouraged believers to hasten to break the fast once the sun sets.

He said:

“People will remain upon goodness as long as they hasten to break the fast.”

(Bukhari & Muslim).

The Sunnah method of breaking the fast is simple and balanced.

The Prophet ﷺ would break his fast with fresh dates.

If fresh dates were not available, then dry dates.

If dates were not available, then a few sips of water.

(Abu Dawud)

This teaches moderation.

Start light. Pray Maghrib. Then return to eat properly — without excess.

Allah warns us clearly:

“Eat and drink, but do not be excessive.”

(Qur’an 7:31).

Ramadan is not a month of overeating.

Heavy, oily meals immediately after fasting can weaken the body and reduce concentration in Taraweeh and night worship. Hydrate gradually.

Include fruits, vegetables, and balanced meals.

Preserve your strength for ‘ibadah.

Most importantly, do not miss the du‘ā at the moment of breaking the fast.

The fasting person has a supplication that is not rejected at ifṭār.

This is a spiritually powerful moment — between patience and relief.

An authentic du‘ā to recite is:

Dhahaba al-ẓama’u wabtallati al-‘urūq wa thabata al-ajru in shā’ Allāh

“The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.”

(Abu Dawud)

Another widely recited supplication is:

“O Allah, for You I fasted, in You I believe, upon You I rely, and with Your provision I break my fast.”

Beyond these, ask Allah personally — for forgiveness, mercy, health, protection, and barakah.

Ramadan is not about ritual hunger.

It is about spiritual elevation.

Break your fast with gratitude. Eat with discipline.

Make du‘ā with sincerity. Protect your reward.

May Allah accept our fasting, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us steadfastness throughout this blessed month.

On this blessed 9th day of Ramadan 1447AH, we move deeper into the month of mercy.

The early days set the tone.

If we begin strong, sincere, and humble, the rest of the month follows with barakah.

Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm.

Yā Allah, as we complete the first days of fasting, strengthen our consistency.

Do not let our enthusiasm fade. Make our fasting a shield for us.

You said:

“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you… so that you may attain taqwa.” (Qur’an 2:183).

Yā Rabb, grant us true taqwa — not hunger without transformation, not thirst without reflection — but hearts that fear You privately and publicly.

On this ninth day, we ask You for firmness.

“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and make firm our steps.” (Qur’an 2:250)

Grant us patience in fasting.

Patience in prayer. Patience with people. Patience with ourselves.

Allahumma ṭahhir qulūbanā — purify our hearts.

Allahumma aṣliḥ niyyātinā — correct our intentions.

Allahumma aj‘al ṣiyāmanā ṣiyāma ṣādiqīn — make our fasting the fasting of the truthful.

Yā Allah, protect us from spiritual laziness.

Protect us from showing off.

Protect us from wasting Ramadan in distraction.

You promised:

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:6)

For those struggling financially — bring provision.

For those battling illness — grant shifā’.

For those facing insecurity — grant safety.

For those burdened with anxiety — grant sakīnah.

Yā Allah, forgive our parents — living and deceased.

Elevate their ranks and widen their graves.

“My Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Judgment.” (Qur’an 14:41).

On this ninth day of Ramadan, write us among those whose names are recorded among the forgiven.

Make us among those freed from the Fire.

O Allah, You love to pardon — so pardon us.

Strengthen our faith. Increase our discipline.

Elevate our character. Accept our fasting and prayers.

Āmīn yā Rabb al-‘Ālamīn.
