2027: GROUP TARGETS FIVE MILLION VOTES FOR TINUBU

A pro-Tinubu support group, the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign (GATIC 2027), has unveiled plans to mobilise five million votes nationwide for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the January 2027 presidential election.

The group — an umbrella body of professionals, technocrats, and businessmen within and outside Nigeria — made the declaration at its inaugural press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Director-General Prince Bevis Paul Igbinoba said GATIC has established structures across all 774 local government areas and is poised to galvanise grassroots support for the President’s re-election.

“We have committed ourselves to the task of mobilising five million Nigerian voters for President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” Igbinoba stated.

He explained that the group was formed in response to the Tinubu administration’s achievements since May 29, 2023, after members assessed performance over the past 33 months.

Igbinoba highlighted key milestones under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including:

– Removal of fuel subsidy and unification of foreign exchange rates

– Increased crude oil production and improved revenue accruals to states

– Introduction of the student loan scheme for indigent students

– Intervention funds for farmers through the Bank of Industry at single-digit interest rates

– Ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and roads across the six geopolitical zones

– Over $3.5 billion in foreign direct investment and more than $13.35 billion in portfolio inflows between 2023 and 2024

– Reduction in debt service-to-revenue ratio from 97% in 2022 to below 61% in 2025

While acknowledging ongoing economic and security challenges, Igbinoba said reforms require time to yield full results.

“The challenges are enormous, but we cannot afford to truncate the current policy direction or abort the gains already recorded,” he said.

He described the five-million-vote target as achievable and promised to unveil campaign strategies in due course.

Igbinoba called on the media to support efforts to consolidate the administration’s policies and said GATIC would leverage its nationwide and diaspora networks to deliver the objective.
