President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom, with focus now shifting to domestic activities and the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

He arrived in Lagos early Friday, with the presidential aircraft landing at approximately 1:15 a.m. at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Tinubu was welcomed by senior officials, including Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, alongside Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and other key members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During the brief visit, the President and First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, attended a state banquet hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle. Tinubu also held bilateral talks with Keir Starmer at Downing Street, focusing on strengthening diplomatic and economic cooperation.

The visit resulted in the signing of memoranda of understanding between Nigeria and the UK, covering trade and port development projects. Tinubu had departed Abuja earlier in the week at the invitation of the British government.
