Salihu Yakasai, former Director-General of Media and Communications to the Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Yakasai announced his decision on Monday via his Facebook page, explaining that the move came after consultations with family, friends, and political associates. He stated that he has submitted his exit letter from the APC and completed his registration with the ADC.

In his statement, Yakasai encouraged others interested in joining the ADC to register online and expressed hope that his new political journey would benefit Nigerians: “We pray to God that this is the best, and may the ADC establish government above and beyond, and may it be a blessing to all Nigerians.”

Notably, Yakasai had previously left the APC in 2022 to join the Peoples Redemption Party, contesting as its gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 elections, before later returning to the ruling party.
