President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of ongoing economic reforms, stressing that meaningful national progress requires sacrifice.
In his Easter message to Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, the president reflected on the significance of the season, highlighting themes of resilience, sacrifice, and victory over challenges as lessons for nation-building.
“The ongoing reforms, though demanding in their immediate impact, have been carefully put together and backed by a strong commitment to take us to shared prosperity,” he said.

Tinubu acknowledged that the changes may be difficult in the short term but insisted they are necessary for long-term growth. “True transformation cannot be achieved without sacrifice, and history shows that lasting progress often comes during tough times,” he added.
Addressing security concerns, the president commended the efforts of the Armed Forces in tackling terrorism and banditry. He assured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to providing the needed resources and strengthening international partnerships to improve security.

He also urged citizens to embrace unity, civic responsibility, and peaceful participation, especially as the country prepares for another election cycle. According to him, democracy can only thrive when people remain responsible, informed, and actively engaged.
“Even though current conditions may be challenging, economic indicators suggest we are on the right path. A new dawn is on the horizon,” Tinubu said.
He concluded by thanking Nigerians for their continued support and trust, encouraging everyone to play their part in building a more secure, prosperous, and democratic nation.
