Residents of Jos South have reported another late-night attack, just hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited Plateau State to sympathise with victims of earlier violence.
According to locals, unidentified gunmen stormed a neighbourhood under the cover of darkness, opening fire and killing at least three people. As of the time of reporting, security agencies have yet to release an official statement confirming the incident.

The attack has heightened fear across the community, with many residents questioning the effectiveness of current security measures, including the recently imposed curfew.
One resident expressed frustration, saying, “What’s the point of a curfew when attackers can move freely, strike, and disappear without a trace?”
For many families already dealing with the aftermath of previous attacks, the latest violence has only deepened grief and uncertainty.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as investigations continue and efforts are made to restore calm in the area.
