Both politicians submitted their forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, formally signalling the beginning of their re-election campaigns under the party platform.

Katung explained that his decision to seek another term is aimed at consolidating ongoing efforts focused on peacebuilding and development in Southern Kaduna. He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and expressed support for President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, describing the party as a strong platform for stability and progress.

He added that the submission marks the start of renewed efforts to advance development in the region, stressing that more work is needed to keep Southern Kaduna on a path of growth.

Daniel Amos, who submitted his forms alongside the senator, said the move reflects unity within the party and a stronger push for grassroots mobilisation. He noted that the decision goes beyond a formal procedure, describing it as a continued commitment to effective representation and constituency engagement.

Amos further stated that their focus remains on sustaining development projects while expanding opportunities and interventions for their constituents.

Political stakeholders in Kaduna South have described the joint submission as a sign of growing cohesion within the APC ahead of the primaries.
