The Nigerian Air Force has graduated a fresh batch of intelligence personnel as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence-driven military operations and improve national security across the country.
The graduation ceremony for participants of the Basic Intelligence Course 34/2026 was held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Nigerian Air Force School of Air Intelligence.
Representing the Chief of Air Intelligence, Emmanuel Ukpong, Director of Air Intelligence, described the event as another important step in the Air Force’s commitment to developing highly skilled intelligence officers capable of supporting national security objectives.
According to him, Nigeria’s evolving security challenges require well-trained and mission-focused intelligence personnel who can effectively contribute to ongoing counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations.

Ukpong explained that the course provided specialised training in intelligence gathering, operational analysis, security support, and mission planning, all aimed at improving the participants’ analytical, reporting, and decision-making skills.
He stressed that timely and credible intelligence remains critical to the success of military operations and strategic planning.
The senior officer also urged the graduating personnel to maintain professionalism, discipline, and integrity in the discharge of their duties.

“You must continue to uphold teamwork, integrity, and continuous self-development in line with modern technological advancements and evolving security realities,” he said.
The Air Force noted that the graduation reflects the commitment of the Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, to strengthening intelligence capacity and enhancing intelligence-led operations within the service.
The Nigerian Air Force added that continued investment in training institutions and human capital development remains essential to improving operational readiness and tackling emerging security threats across the country.
