Following the sighting, the month of Dhul Hijjah is set to begin from Sunday night, May 17, 2026, while the Day of Arafah is expected to fall on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
Consequently, Muslims in Saudi Arabia are expected to observe Eid al-Adha on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, marking the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage period, In shā Allāh.

The announcement was shared via verified Islamic social media platforms, confirming the commencement of the sacred month and outlining the key dates for Hajj 2026 observances.
