2027: EX-REP WINS OGUN WEST APC SENATORIAL TICKET

A former three-term member of the House of Representatives for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Jimoh Ojugbele, has expressed confidence that he will build on the performance of the current senator representing Ogun West, Adeola Olamilekan Yayi, following his victory in the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary.

Ojugbele emerged winner of the APC primary election for Ogun West Senatorial District after defeating three other contenders, securing 85,552 votes out of 86,811 accredited voters, according to the Returning Officer, Dr Dapo Odukoya.

The exercise was described as peaceful and orderly, with Ojugbele commending the transparent conduct of the election across the district. He noted that the process reflected unity among party members and expressed optimism about the 2027 general election.

The former lawmaker, who previously served three terms in the National Assembly and was widely known for constituency development projects in Ado-Odo/Ota, said he intends to surpass existing achievements in the senatorial district with the support of constituents.

He also praised the incumbent senator, describing his contributions as impactful, while reaffirming his commitment to delivering improved representation if elected.
