Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State on Saturday unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election during a statewide affirmation exercise held across the state.
The exercise took place in all 255 political wards spread across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State and witnessed a massive turnout of party members, supporters, and stakeholders.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alongside designated APC officials, monitored the process to ensure compliance with electoral guidelines and party procedures.
Party faithful from the Southern Kaduna axis, as well as the Central and Northern Senatorial Districts, turned out in large numbers to reaffirm their support for President Tinubu and express confidence in his administration.
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, while speaking after monitoring the exercise in parts of the state, described the affirmation as a strong demonstration of unity, loyalty, and confidence in the leadership of both the APC and President Tinubu.

According to him, the overwhelming support recorded across the state reflects the trust party members and residents have in the current administration and the commitment of the APC to build on its achievements ahead of the 2027 elections.
Governor Sani also commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise, noting that the discipline and large turnout further highlighted the strength and preparedness of the APC in Kaduna State.
He urged party members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party’s structures at the grassroots level to sustain the APC’s dominance both in the state and across the country.
The affirmation exercise ended peacefully amid enthusiastic participation by party supporters, a development many observers described as a sign of growing cohesion within the ruling party.
Meanwhile, collation of results from the various voting areas was still ongoing, with local government collation officers compiling returns for onward submission to the Kaduna State Coordinator and Chief Collation Officer, Governor Uba Sani.
The final consolidated result is expected to be presented to the APC Presidential Primary Committee in Abuja ahead of the official announcement scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026.
