Dapo Abiodun, Seyi Tinubu Attend Ojude Oba Festival as Ijebu Ode Hosts Cultural Celebration
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, were among the notable attendees at this year’s Ojude Oba Festival held in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

The annual cultural celebration, which takes place on the third day after Eid al-Kabir, once again transformed the town into a colourful display of Yoruba heritage, with participants arriving in elegant traditional attire including agbadas, geles, and richly decorated beaded accessories.

The festival attracted large crowds made up of cultural groups, dignitaries, celebrities, and members of the Nigerian diaspora, all gathered to celebrate the rich traditions and identity of the Ijebu people.
However, this year’s edition was held without the presence of Oba Sikiru Adetona, the late Awujale of Ijebuland, who passed away in July last year after a 65-year reign.
Despite his absence, the festival maintained its cultural significance, continuing its tradition as one of Nigeria’s most prominent heritage events that showcases unity, fashion, and pride in Yoruba culture.
