Gbajabiamila, Ribadu Lead Federal Delegation to Ogbomoso Over Oriire Security Crisis
The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and HM Joseph Tegbe, have arrived in Ogbomoso on a high-level Federal Government mission to assess recent security incidents in communities within Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The delegation’s visit formed part of a fact-finding and on-the-spot assessment exercise aimed at understanding the situation in affected communities and strengthening response efforts to restore peace and stability.
During the visit, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai (Ph.D.) briefed the team extensively on the security situation, outlining the challenges faced by residents as well as ongoing interventions by security agencies and government authorities.

He also highlighted steps being taken to improve security presence and ensure the safe return to normal life in the affected areas.
The Federal Government team engaged with traditional rulers, community leaders, and security operatives during the visit, listening to concerns and reviewing current efforts on the ground.
Gbajabiamila and Ribadu reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure lasting peace in Oriire and surrounding communities.
The visit, according to officials, underscores the administration’s renewed focus on security and its determination to respond swiftly to emerging threats across the country.
