Jumu’ah Mubarak – 26th of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH
Alhamdulillahi Rabbil-‘Alamin. All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, Who grants life, guidance, forgiveness and sustenance. We seek His mercy and blessings upon our beloved Prophet, Muhammad, his family, companions and all who follow the straight path until the Day of Judgment.
As we enter this blessed Friday, the 26th of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH, may Allah accept our worship, forgive our shortcomings and make us among those whose hearts remain steadfast upon faith.

Allah says in the Noble Qur’an:
إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Inna ma’al-‘usri yusra. Inna ma’al-‘usri yusra.
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.” (Qur’an 94:5-6)
O Allah, in Your infinite mercy, grant us relief from every difficulty, peace in our hearts, and contentment in our souls. Replace our fears with security, our worries with tranquillity, and our trials with Your abundant mercy.
Rabbi ishrah li sadri, wa yassir li amri.
(My Lord, expand my breast and ease my task for me.) (Qur’an 20:25-26)
O Allah, bless this Friday and the remaining days of this sacred month. Open for us doors of goodness that no one can close. Grant healing to the sick, comfort to the distressed, provision to those in need, and guidance to our children and future generations.
Allahummaghfir lana dhunubana, wastur ‘uyubana, warham mawtana, washfi mardana, waffiqna lima tuhibbu wa tarda.
(O Allah, forgive our sins, conceal our faults, have mercy upon our deceased, heal our sick, and guide us to that which You love and are pleased with.)
Allah says:
Fadhkuruni adhkurkum washkuru li wa la takfurun.
“So remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.” (Qur’an 2:152)
Ya Allah, bless our homes with harmony, our work with barakah, our nation with peace, and the Ummah with unity and righteousness. Protect us from calamities seen and unseen, and make our last words in this world:
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ
La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur Rasulullah.
May Allah accept our prayers, increase us in faith, and grant us goodness in this world and the Hereafter.
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
Ameen, Ya Rabbal-‘Alamin.
Jumu’ah Mubarak. May Allah make this 26th day of Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH a source of mercy, forgiveness, and abundant blessings for you and your loved ones.

*∆ TAKEAWAY FROM THE HADITH ∆*
●This Hadith emphasizes the immense importance of showing kindness, respect, and good treatment to one’s parents. In Islamic teachings, serving and honoring parents is considered one of the greatest acts of worship after serving Allah. *Today is 26th of Dhul Hijjah 1447AH (12 June 2026) and a Day of Jumu’ah (Friday)*
*The Book of the Sick – Kitab al-Mardha*
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) entered upon sick man to pay him a visit, and said to him, “Don’t worry, Allah willing, (your sickness will be) an expiation for your sins.” The man said, “No, it is but a fever that is boiling within an old man and will send him to his grave.” On that, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Then yes, it is so.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 5662
*NOTE 📝*
1. This hadith was treated earlier but in a slightly different context. In his commentary of this hadith, al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani explained the etiquette of visiting the sick and the words that should be exchanged during such visits. The Prophet ﷺ would comfort the sick with reassuring words such as *“No harm, it is a purification, if Allah wills,”* giving them hope, easing their anxiety, and reminding them that illness can be a means of purification from sins. He then stated further that scholars also encouraged visitors to uplift the patient’s spirits by speaking positively about recovery and Allah’s mercy, as this brings comfort even though it does not alter Allah’s decree. – Fathul Baari, Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani
2. Ibn Hajar further highlighted the virtue of encouraging the sick person and giving him hope in Allah’s kindness and healing. This emotional support, according to Ibn Hajar, helps relieve distress, strengthens the heart, and reflects the compassion and brotherhood encouraged in Islam. Some narrations also mention asking the sick person to make du‘aa’, due to the special status and sincerity often associated with one experiencing hardship. – Fathul Baari, Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani

3. Finally, al-Hafidh commented that it is also permissible for a sick person to explain the cause or nature of his illness when asked, without this being considered a complaint against Allah, provided it is done truthfully and without resentment toward the divine decree (Fathul Baari, Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani). Overall, the guidance emphasizes kindness, encouragement, patience, and maintaining a positive outlook rooted in trust in Allah during times of sickness.
*O Allah, we ask You (for safety from trials and) well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, we ask You for forgiveness and well-being in our religion, our worldly affairs, our family, and our wealth. O Allah, conceal our faults and protect our vulnerabilities. Indeed, You are All-Hearing, Ever-Responsive. Ãmeen*
