Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have intercepted a suspected terrorist logistics supplier and recovered items believed to be intended for criminal elements operating in Zamfara State.

According to military sources, the operation was carried out by troops under Sector 2 during ongoing security operations aimed at disrupting the supply networks of terrorists and bandits in the North-West.

The suspect was arrested following intelligence-led surveillance and a subsequent search, which led to the recovery of several pairs of military-style boots and other materials allegedly meant for delivery to terrorist groups. Security sources said the items were being transported to an undisclosed destination within the state when troops intercepted the suspect.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect may be linked to a wider logistics network responsible for supplying equipment and other materials to armed groups operating in Zamfara and neighbouring areas. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the network.

Military officials described the arrest as part of sustained efforts to cut off the flow of supplies that enable terrorist and bandit activities across the region. They reiterated their commitment to intelligence-driven operations designed to dismantle criminal support structures and improve security in affected communities.
The suspect remains in custody while investigations continue, and recovered items have been secured as evidence. Security agencies have urged members of the public to continue providing credible information that can assist ongoing operations against terrorist and criminal elements in the North-West.
