Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, have rescued six abducted persons, including two infants, in Borno State as part of ongoing military efforts to recover victims of terrorist attacks in the region.
The military said the rescue operation was carried out through coordinated air and ground missions supported by reliable intelligence, leading troops to Talakawa in Chibok Local Government Area, where the victims were found.

According to a statement by the Acting Military Information Officer of Headquarters Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni, the rescued individuals included four adults and two infants who were abducted from Mussa in Askira/Uba Local Government Area in May.
The military explained that the operation was part of broader search-and-rescue efforts aimed at locating and recovering victims of insurgent attacks, including those linked to the abduction of students from Government Day Secondary School, Lassa.

Following their rescue, the victims were moved to a secure location where they are undergoing medical checks and receiving necessary support.
Operation HADIN KAI said relief materials and essential supplies have also been provided to assist the victims after their time in captivity, while preparations continue for their reunification with their families.
The military described the operation as another significant achievement in the fight against terrorism, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the Borno State Government, security agencies and local support groups.

Meanwhile, troops have continued operations against fleeing terrorists, maintaining pressure on their escape routes to prevent further movement and regrouping.
During follow-up operations, soldiers recovered 50 rounds of PKT ammunition abandoned by insurgents, which the military said indicated the impact of sustained attacks on terrorist positions.

Operation HADIN KAI assured residents that rescue missions would continue until all remaining abducted persons are recovered.
The command also urged citizens to remain alert and provide security agencies with useful information about suspicious activities, while warning against spreading unverified reports that could create unnecessary fear.
