NIGERIAN-BORN INVENTOR EARNS PLACE IN NASA HALL OF FAME AFTER TWO DECADES OF INNOVATION

Nigerian-born engineer and scientist, Dr. Robert Sola Okojie, was inducted into the NASA Inventors Hall of Fame in November 2019 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to innovation and engineering.

Dr. Okojie received the prestigious honour after spending 21 years at NASA, during which he secured 21 patents for groundbreaking technological inventions.

He is widely recognised for his expertise in developing silicon carbide-based microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) designed to operate in extreme environments. His research and innovations have played an important role in advancing technologies used in aerospace and other demanding applications.

His induction into the NASA Inventors Hall of Fame stands as a significant achievement, highlighting the global impact of Nigerian excellence in science, engineering, and technological innovation.
