SPAIN BEAT FRANCE TO REACH FIRST WORLD CUP FINAL SINCE 2010

Spain opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after Lamine Yamal was brought down inside the box by Lucas Digne. Mikel Oyarzabal calmly converted the resulting penalty to give his side the lead.

France suffered another setback before the halftime break when defender William Saliba was forced off with an injury, leaving the team with defensive concerns.

Spain extended their advantage in the 58th minute through Pedro Porro, who finished off a well-worked passing move to put the match beyond France’s reach.

Despite their efforts, France struggled to create clear chances, with captain Kylian Mbappe kept quiet by Spain’s disciplined defence before receiving a late yellow card.

The victory sends Spain into their first FIFA World Cup final since winning the tournament in 2010. They will now face the winner of the semifinal between England and Argentina, while France will compete in the third-place playoff.
