The Jigawa Internal Revenue Service (JIRS) has launched a digital platform designed to automate revenue collection from the informal sector, improve transparency, and strengthen the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
According to the agency, the new system is expected to simplify the revenue collection process, enhance accountability, and reduce leakages while making tax administration more efficient.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to modernise revenue collection through technology and expand the state’s revenue base.
