The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15 Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has promised to focus on improving power generation, education, healthcare, and security if elected governor.
Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Osun Muslim Community in Osogbo, Oyebamiji said ensuring the safety of residents would remain a top priority, noting that security is crucial for economic development and business growth.
He revealed that a team of experts had developed policy plans designed to strengthen the state’s economy and improve the standard of living for residents.
According to him, the proposed initiatives cover critical sectors such as education, healthcare, electricity generation, agriculture, and workers’ welfare, with the goal of driving sustainable economic growth across Osun State.
Oyebamiji assured the people that his administration would promote fairness, justice, and equitable distribution of resources among communities throughout the state if given the mandate to govern.
He also expressed confidence in securing victory at the governorship election scheduled for August 15.
Earlier, President of the Osun State Muslim Community, Mustapha Olawuyi, described Oyebamiji as a devoted Muslim and philanthropist, praising his long-standing support for the Muslim community and humanitarian causes.
Olawuyi, however, stressed that the Muslim community remains non-partisan and is committed to promoting peace, unity, and the welfare of society.
Osun voters are expected to elect a new governor from 14 candidates approved by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Oyebamiji will contest under the APC, while incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party after leaving the Peoples Democratic Party.
