Six people have lost their lives after a lightning strike during a heavy rainstorm in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday at about 4:00 p.m. in Dadiri-Tirigali village, where nine individuals were reportedly working on a farm when the thunderstorm struck.
According to the Adamawa State Police Command, officers from the Ganye Divisional Headquarters responded immediately after receiving an emergency report about the incident.

On arrival at the scene, the police found all nine victims unconscious. They were rushed for medical attention, where three of them regained consciousness, while six others were confirmed dead by health officials.
The incident has been described as a natural disaster resulting from the severe weather conditions experienced in the area.
