BARCELONA’S NEW SIGNING ADEYEMI SETS SIGHTS ON TOTAL DOMINATION

FC Barcelona have officially completed the signing of German forward Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until June 2031.

The deal reportedly includes an initial transfer fee of €22 million, with a further €7 million available through performance-based bonuses. Borussia Dortmund are also said to have secured a 35 per cent sell-on clause, while Adeyemi is expected to earn around €6 million net annually at the Spanish club.

Barcelona introduced Adeyemi to supporters through a presentation featuring artificial intelligence-powered visual elements as part of the club’s digital launch strategy.

Speaking after his unveiling, Adeyemi revealed that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick played a major role in his decision to join the club. The forward described the opportunity to work under Flick as a dream and expressed his desire to win major trophies during his time at Camp Nou.

Adeyemi also stated that he is ready to operate in any attacking position required by the manager and is focused on helping Barcelona achieve success this season.

The move represents Barcelona’s second significant attacking reinforcement of the summer transfer window following the arrival of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Flick was reportedly a key figure behind the deal, having handed Adeyemi his Germany debut in 2021. The Barcelona coach is believed to value the forward’s speed and pressing ability, with Adeyemi previously recording a Bundesliga sprint speed of 36.65 km/h.

The German forward is expected to add more pace, versatility and attacking intensity to Barcelona’s squad as the club prepares for the new campaign.
