FORMER KEBBI DEPUTY GOVERNOR IBRAHIM ALIYU DIES

Kebbi Mourns Former Deputy Governor Ibrahim Aliyu

Former Kebbi State Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Aliyu, has passed away.

Aliyu, who served as deputy governor under former Governor Saidu Usman Dakingari between 2007 and 2015, reportedly died in Sokoto.

Reacting to the news, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris described his death as a great loss to the Yauri Emirate, Kebbi State and the country.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sarki, the governor said Aliyu was a respected leader whose life was defined by integrity, selfless service and dedication to the public.

Governor Idris said the late former deputy governor made significant contributions to the growth of Kebbi State, both as a career civil servant and during his time in office. He added that Aliyu was widely admired for his humility, honesty and commitment to the welfare of the people.

According to the governor, Aliyu leaves behind a legacy of exemplary leadership and public service that will continue to inspire future generations.

“His invaluable contributions to the development of our state and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of our people will continue to inspire generations,” the governor said.

He prayed for Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, while extending his condolences to the bereaved family, the Yauri Emirate and the people of Kebbi State. Governor Idris also prayed for God to grant them the strength to bear the loss.
