APC North-West Begins Mobilisation Ahead of Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid
The North-West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun plans to strengthen its political structures across the region as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The decision was reached during a meeting of the party’s zonal leadership held at its headquarters in Kaduna. The meeting, chaired by the APC North-West Zonal Secretary, Sah Achida, reviewed the region’s political landscape and mapped out strategies for the next election cycle.
In a statement issued by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mada, the party described the North-West as one of its strongest support bases, noting that the region played a major role in President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
The APC said it is optimistic about increasing its support in the region ahead of the 2027 polls.
As part of its plans, the party announced that it would embark on a tour of the seven North-West states to meet with stakeholders, strengthen grassroots structures and identify practical ways to consolidate support across the zone.
The party also pointed to what it described as a significant political achievement, noting that all seven North-West states are currently governed by APC administrations, a development it said reflects the party’s dominance in the region.
The zonal leadership commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for donating a utility vehicle to support the party’s activities, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to the APC’s growth.
It also acknowledged the continued support of APC governors in the North-West, saying their contributions have helped sustain the operations of the party’s zonal headquarters.
The statement further praised prominent APC leaders from the region, including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, ministers and other political officeholders appointed by President Tinubu, for their contributions to the administration and the party.
The APC called on its members and leaders across the North-West to remain united and sustain the momentum as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace.
