A fire broke out on Saturday at the headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) in Abuja.
The fire reportedly started on the fourth floor of the building, located opposite the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), before spreading to the upper section of the structure.
Eyewitnesses said firefighters responded quickly and worked to contain the flames, although the fire continued to spread across the top floor during the operation.
Photos shared on social media showed thick smoke rising from the building as emergency responders battled the blaze.
As of the time of this report, the cause of the fire had not been established. There was also no official confirmation of any casualties or the extent of the damage caused.
Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
