The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Adeleke polled 511,067 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the APC, by 66,252 votes.

The victory gives Adeleke another four-year term as governor of Osun State. He won 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured 11.

The results were declared by the State Returning Officer, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, at the INEC collation centre in Osogbo in the early hours of Sunday, August 16.
