BILLIONAIRE RAZAQ OKOYA’S FIRST SON REVEALS HOW SHADE OKOYA ALLEGEDLY PREVENTED HIM FROM SEEING HIS FATHER

Fatai Okoya, the 66-year-old first son of Nigerian billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, has spoken about his prolonged estrangement from his father, claiming that he has repeatedly struggled to reconnect with him.

During a TikTok Live session, Fatai recounted how he allegedly attempted to approach his father during his birthday celebration in January 2026 but was prevented from doing so by his father’s wife, Shade Okoya.

According to Fatai, he attended the event hoping to greet his father. Although he said he received a VIP welcome, he alleged that Shade stopped him from approaching the billionaire businessman.

“I was turned back by Alhaja Shade Okoya,” he said, adding that his father saw him at the event but did not speak to him.

Fatai explained that his estrangement from his father dates back several decades. He attributed the disagreement partly to mistakes he made when he was younger and his decision to marry a woman his father reportedly disapproved of.

He acknowledged that he had been young and in love at the time, adding that the woman he married had since passed away. Despite the years that have elapsed, he lamented that their relationship had yet to be restored.

The 66-year-old also recalled how his grandmother had expressed concern about the prolonged family dispute. According to him, she once questioned his father about the future of his siblings after her death.

The family rift, he suggested, has extended beyond his relationship with his father. During the live session, one of his daughters, reportedly in her 40s, also spoke about her lack of a relationship with her grandfather.

She claimed that she had never had a meaningful conversation with Razaq Okoya since she was born.

Fatai, who described himself as his father’s first son and the only child from his mother’s side, expressed his desire to reconcile with the billionaire businessman.

He appealed for another opportunity to rebuild their relationship, recalling the closeness they shared during his childhood and expressing hope that they could put their differences behind them.

The discussion also drew comments from Razaq Okoya’s brother, who reportedly criticised the circumstances surrounding Fatai’s alleged inability to see his father.

Meanwhile, the host of the TikTok Live session, Yeyekudi, appealed to billionaire businessman and philanthropist Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, who is a friend of Razaq Okoya, to intervene and help facilitate reconciliation between the father and son.

Fatai’s account has generated discussions online about family relationships, forgiveness and the possibility of reconciliation after decades of estrangement.
