Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed confidence that voters across Northern Nigeria will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing the Federal Government’s interventions in infrastructure, security, education and agriculture.
Sani made the declaration on Saturday during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off rally in Kaduna, where he praised the administration for its projects and policies across the region.

The governor recalled Tinubu’s visit to Birnin Gwari during the 2022 presidential campaign, when the area faced serious security challenges. He said the president had made commitments to improve security and reconstruct the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road, adding that work on the road was ongoing.
Sani also highlighted the reconstruction of the Abuja–Kaduna Expressway and other road projects, describing them as important investments aimed at improving transportation and connecting communities across Northern Nigeria.
On education and healthcare, the governor said more than 300 schools and over 150 primary healthcare centres that had previously closed because of insecurity in Kaduna State had reopened. He credited the progress to efforts by his administration alongside federal government interventions.

He further noted that students in the North-West had benefited from student loan programmes, while young people and artisans had received support through skills development and empowerment initiatives.
According to Sani, these interventions demonstrated the administration’s commitment to improving living conditions and creating opportunities for people across the region.

The governor also challenged opposition politicians seeking the presidency in 2027 to present their records of achievement, arguing that being from Northern Nigeria should not automatically guarantee political support.
He urged voters to assess political leaders based on their performance, policies and contributions to national development rather than regional identity alone.
Sani also cautioned APC members against underestimating opposition campaigns, alleging that political opponents were increasingly using artificial intelligence-generated content in their campaigns. He called on party supporters to remain alert as political activities intensified ahead of the election.
The governor concluded by assuring Tinubu that Northern Nigerians would demonstrate their support through their votes in the 2027 presidential election.
