#Abducted Fouani Brothers Have Been Rescued, Say Police

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the successful rescue of the three abducted Fouani brothers.

On June 14, Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani, who are involved in Fouani Nigeria Ltd – a company specializing in electronics and serving as the exclusive distributor of LG, Hisense, and Maxi products in Nigeria, were reportedly kidnapped around 6pm in Lagos while returning from their factory by boat.

The police have been diligently working to secure the victims’ release since then. The hostages, along with the boat driver and his assistant, were eventually freed on Monday night in Orugbo Iddo.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson for the state, confirmed the successful rescue, attributing it to the concerted efforts of the Lagos Marine police with assistance from the Nigerian Navy. The rescued individuals were promptly escorted back to their residence.

Hundeyin stated, “They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our marine police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them safely ashore. Subsequently, our tactical team in the area escorted them back home to Banana Island in the early hours of today. The group comprised three Lebanese individuals, the boat captain, and his assistant.”
